Located in the heart of Borneo's Wildlife Conservation Area, along the banks of the Kinabatangan River, which is home to an amazing world of wildlife in its most natural existence. In a little hinder town called Sukau from whence you can venture into a world of discovery of a myriad of animals, insects, birds and other flora and fauna.

It is also along these same banks that you can experience an unhurried hospitality in this wonderful world of unspoiled nature in a relaxed and laid-back fashion at the Proboscis Lodge Sukau.

Native style twin sharing cabins

The Lodge, a native styled twin sharing cabin is designed to blend in with the surrounding of the thick swamp and tropical rainforest provides comfortable rooms with basic necessities and recreational facilities.

As you relax and soak in the ever splendour beauty of your surrounding we will serve you delicious meals for you to indulge in while you wallow in the never ending chorus of the sounds made by birds, monkeys, insects and other wild animals that can only be heard in environment such as these. This is truly fascinating exploration of wildlife in it's rarest and most natural form will be an unforgettable experience for all nature lovers.

Coupled with these experiences the Proboscis Lodge Sukau, nestled strategically along the banks and under the canopy of the rainforest offers your accommodation for only 24 pampered guests at any one time. Sixteen of these are individual cabins on a twin sharing basis and eight are in the main lodge with twin sharing rooms all with attached bathroom and toilets for your comfort. The main lodge also has a dining room, sitting room and a big balcony overlooking the river.

The grounds of the lodge are naturally landscaped and creates a cooling atmosphere away from the tropical heat. The land on which the development is sited is leased from the local land owner for a period of twenty-five years.
